Frequently Asked Questions
Q Why get a pool inspection?
First and foremost, to check for any safety issues, which there are potentially many with pools. Second, to have the peace of mind that you won't have to replace any expensive components after purchasing the home. For homeowners about to sell a home, it is very important to get a pool inspection to allow you to fix any concerns that may cause buyers to walk away from the purchase.
Q What are you inspecting on a pool inspection?
We are going to ensure all motors and pumps are working, and verify the age of them as well. We will be testing timers, heaters, and light fixtures. Most importantly, we will be testing to ensure the electrical components are all in working condition and safe. This includes wires being properly grounded, proper safety controls and GFCIs are in place. We will be looking at fencing around the pool to make sure it is safe as well. And obviously the overall condition of the swimming pool. We will also be inspecting any decking for safety concerns.
Q Do I need to have my pool house or any other structures near the pool inspected?
We do this as well, and YES, this is very important. This will be an additional charge, but once again, it will give you the peace of mind that it is safe and no major issues.
Q Can I get a pool inspection without a home inspection?
Absolutely! We offer stand alone pool inspections. We recommend these for someone that had a home inspection done by a company that didn't offer this service, or if you are about to sell a home, and want to make sure everything is good for the sale.
Q Will the Pool inspection report be separate from my home inspection report?
Your pool inspection will be in the same report as your home inspection. Our top of the line inspection software makes it very easy for you to go through any callouts or just basic information on the report.
Q What is included in a pool inspection?
Our comprehensive pool inspection includes checking the condition and functionality of the pool structure, pool equipment, safety features, and surrounding areas. We assess the pool's surface, liner, tiles, pumps, filters, heaters, and electrical systems to ensure everything is in proper working order.
Q How often should I have my pool inspected?
It is recommended to have your pool inspected annually to ensure it remains in safe and optimal condition. Regular inspections help identify potential issues early, allowing for timely maintenance and repairs, which can extend the lifespan of your pool and equipment.
Q Can I schedule a pool inspection along with a home inspection?
Absolutely! You can conveniently schedule a pool inspection at the same time as your home inspection. Combining these services allows for a thorough evaluation of both your home and pool, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the property's overall condition.
Q Do you offer weekend inspections?
Yes, we offer weekend appointments to accommodate your schedule!
Q How soon can I schedule an inspection?
We offer flexible scheduling and can often accommodate appointments within a few days, depending on your location and inspector availability.
